U.S. DOE

Accelerating energy efficiency in the U.S.

PROMOTING AND FACILITATING THE ADOPTION OF BEST PRACTICES

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings initiative aims to make commercial, public, industrial, and residential buildings 20 percent more energy efficient over the next decade. This means saving hundreds of billions of dollars on energy bills, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and creating thousands of jobs.

To speak the language of its audience, the Better Buildings brand needed to resonate with public and private sector organizations across the country who work together to share and replicate positive gains in energy efficiency.

The DOE tapped Branditecture to define the brand, differentiate it’s audiences and develop an identity and design system to support brand communications.

Branditecture also designed a robust solutions portal, aggregating content from multiple previous websites into a single, one-stop resource center for developers and owners of energy efficient commercial, industrial and residential buildings.
